Liverpool assistant coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst is under consideration for the Indonesia manager vacancy, sources have told Football Insider.

The Indonesian Football Federation (PSSI) are in the process of finding a new head coach following the dismissal of Patrick Kluivert last month in the wake of the country's failure to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

Indonesia have close ties with the Dutch with an ever-growing pool of naturalised heritage players in the Indonesia camp being Dutch-born.

Former Rangers and Besiktas boss Van Bronckhorst joined Liverpool in the summer to work in Arne Slot's coaching staff.

He joined as a replacement for John Heitinga following his departure to Ajax. However, Heitinga has recently been sacked by Ajax following their poor start to the season.
