Rangers fans have resigned themselves to the prospect of not signing midfielder Sean Goss on a permanent deal this summer after QPR manager Ian Holloway slammed Graeme Murty.

Murty had said that he wanted to sign the player permanently when his current loan spell from QPR comes to an end.

However, that drew a furious response from Holloway who said the player would be going nowhere in the summer.

His comments came as a shock after Murty's comments were largely innocuous and about a player Holloway hadn't played in the league all season.

“I’d rather talk to Graeme about that myself because he is out of order talking about my player,” Holloway said in the Daily Record.

“He’s my player, nobody else’s. It’s not right he’s talking about trying to buy one of my players when that player is not for sale.

“His future is at QPR. I bought him to be a QPR player. I’ve loaned him out when he’s never been loaned out before and I’m delighted he’s doing well but he won’t be getting sold.”

One fans said that Goss was "head and shoulders" above any other loan deal that Rangers had had before.

However, another thought there might still be hope, with QPR potentially still able to be dragged into a relegation fight.

He said that Holloway would be sacked before any decision had to be made on Sean Goss in the summer.
