Celtic fans have demanded that the club terminate Charly Musonda’s loan deal in Glasgow and send him back to Chelsea a year earlier than expected.
The attacker signed in a blaze of hype on an 18-month loan deal in January, but he has made very few appearances for the Bhoys in that time, and Brendan Rodgers has even admitted, as quoted by the Daily Record, that Chelsea could cancel the deal in the summer.
Hoops supporters on social media would seem to be behind that move though, as one fan claims that the 21-year-old has been ‘bullied in every game’ he has featured in for the Hoops so far.
Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter to the news that the player could be returning south at the end of the season:
Sounds as if Musonda hasn't settled in Glasgow and hasn't shown enough to merit a start. I had high hopes when he signed but no bigge, let him return South we don't need passengers at Celtic. ????????

Plenty ability but too lightweight.

He’s just not tough enough. You can be small n still be brilliant he just doesn’t have it.

The same happened in Spain did it not, I'm sure they cut short his loan spell also

Just catching the latest on Musonda.Goes to show you can't take anything in football for granted. he positivity about that last window from BR to the fans was immense. Couldn't have panned out worse for Musonda and Compper. The one silver lining could be Morgan who looks a talent

I think Musonda will go back to Chelsea. I’d pay up to 10m for Roberts if city would take it.

Players who come in on loan have to earn the right to be in the team regardless of where you come from, Musonda no doubt has fantastic talent but the team comes first and BR has got it right more often than wrong ????????☘️

Waste of talent having Musonda on the bench, should just send him back if we’re not playing him ????

It seems that the highlight of the player’s time in Glasgow will be his superb pass which set up Callum McGregor’s winning goal against Zenit in the Europa League, which showed the talent that he has.
Ironically enough, he might well feature in the Hoops’ upcoming league games against Hearts and Kilmarnock, as with the league already won the Hoops boss may well make a series of changes for those matches, and the trip to Hearts looks like it could be a real test for Musonda.
Perhaps if he shines in the remaining games left this season there may still be hope for him with the Hoops, but it’s far more likely that he will return to London ahead of schedule in the summer.
