Sources: Wigan Athletic in advanced talks to sign Norwich City star Sinani
Wigan Athletic are in advanced talks to sign Norwich City attacker Danel Sinani, sources have told Football Insider.
New Wigan boss Shaun Maloney is desperate to bolster his side’s attacking options before the transfer window closes.
He has now identified 50-time Luxembourg international Sinani as a top target.
The 25-year-old has played 18 times in all competitions for Norwich City this term, although the bulk have come from the bench.
Those appearances have yielded two goals and three assists.
With his contract due to expire in the summer, Norwich are willing to offload him for the right price.

The attacker, who spent last season on loan at Huddersfield Town as they reached the Championship play-off final, is left-footed but capable of playing either flank.
This site revealed earlier in the window that Birmingham City and Coventry City had also made moves to sign Sinani.
He enjoyed goal-laden spells at Racing FC and Dudelange in his native Luxembourg before signing for Norwich in 2020.
Sinani could become Wigan’s fifth signing of the January window so far.
Experienced defenders Steven Caulker and Martin Kelly have joined on permanent deals from Karagumruk and West Brom respectively.
Youngsters Omar Rekik and Miguel Azeez have both signed on loan from Arsenal, as has Christ Tiehi from Slovan Liberec.
Wigan, whose next match comes against Lancashire rivals Blackburn Rovers next Monday (6 February), are rooted to the foot of the Championship with 25 points from 28 matches.
