Nottingham Forest fans on Twitter have applauded the departure of striker Nicklas Bendtner.
The 29-year-old controversial forward made the switch to the Midlands giants in September on a free transfer following his release from Wolfsburg.
However, with a return of just two goals and two assists in 17 outings for the club in all competitions, the official Nottingham Forest website revealed on Monday evening that he had been allowed to join Norwegian side Rosenborg for an undisclosed fee.
Bendtner has certainly had a colourful career after once being considered a bright prospect at Arsenal, but it is clear from Forest fans on social media that he won’t be remembered fondly by themselves.
One fan labelled the Denmark international a “total waster”, while another believed his own goal against rivals Derby summed up his spell at their club.
Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Did we get any use out of Bendtner at all? His goal vs Newcastle might single-handedly keep us up…that's all I can say really. #nffc

Bendtner. His main contribution at NFFC was an own goal vs Derby. I think that says it all. #NFFC

Nottingham Forest brought in young forward Zach Clough from Bolton in January who has scored two goals and provided one in his first five appearances for the club.
They also have star man Britt Assombalonga, Apostolos Vellios, Ross McCormack, Matty Fryatt, Jamie Ward and the emerging Ben Brereton fighting for a position upfront, meaning there was no room left for Bendtner in the team
