Nottingham Forest fans have been left raging at referee Rob Jones after Simon Adingra avoided a red card in their clash with Brighton.

Nuno Espirito Santo's men showed plenty of fight in the game to come away with a 2-2 draw, with goals from Chris Wood and Ramon Sosa balancing those from Jack Hinshelwood and Danny Welbeck.

It was an ill-tempered affair which saw nine yellow cards awarded, while Morgan Gibbs White, Fabian Hurzeler and Nuno were all sent off.

However, one player who managed to avoid a booking was Adingra, leaving the travelling Forest fans perplexed at the officials' decision-making.

Images shared on social media following the game showed the 22-year-old winger had raked his studs down the back of Alex Moreno's calf, but was given no punishment.

It appeared that the foul wasn't even checked by VAR, and in the wake of Gibbs-White's sending-off, fans could not believe what they were seeing.

Following the game, supporters took to social media to express their frustration at Jones, questioning how the Brighton winger remained on the pitch.
