Nottingham Forest are working on four senior signings this summer as they look to lower the average age of their squad, sources have told Football Insider.

Sources say Nuno Espirito Santo is planning to recruit a new goalkeeper, creative midfielder, right-back and a forward in the window that formally opens this week.

The club are targeting players under the age of 25 in an attempt to lower the average age of their squad as they look to sign players who can grow and develop at the club.

Successful signings of this profile such as Murillo, Danilo and Callum Hudson-Odoi have set the benchmark for incoming signings at the City Ground.

Nottingham Forest want four new signings after huge wage cut

Football Insider revealed that Forest have cut £15million from their wage bill after releasing 18 players, which has created some room for multiple signings.

This reduction to the wage bill should allow space for their incoming targets without the risk of overinflating the wage bill.
