Dan Ndoye should be axed and Nottingham Forest gem handed debut
Dan Ndoye continues to be a source of frustration for Nottingham Forest, and an enigma that nobody can solve.
The 25-year-old winger was electric during the recent international break, notching two goals and three assists in three Nations League games.
And against Crystal Palace, right after the break, he netted in the third minute, only for his performance to fall off straight after.
There have been far too many instances of him going under the radar at the City Ground, and therefore, being slammed for his lack of effort.
Four goals and one assist in 45 appearances is simply not good enough for the Forest attacker, but Oliver Glasner continues to persist with him.
That could soon come to an end if Glasner is brave enough to experiment with one of the academy's most exciting talents alongside the River Trent.
Fuad Smith could be the next big thing at Nottingham Forest
Fuad Smith is capable of playing on the right-wing, as well as the attacking midfield and striker spots, and is impressing for the Under-21s.
In 12 appearances this season, the 18-year-old already has three goals and two assists, with three of those contributions coming against Manchester United last week.
He scored twice and assisted another as Forest claimed a dramatic 3-2 win over the Red Devils, before then playing an hour four days later.
Smith looks to be a very intriguing talent, who would undoubtedly love to be given a shot at impressing in the first team.
Having joined as a 10-year-old, he would give absolutely everything to make a good first impression, and it should be at the expense of Ndoye.
Which other Nottingham Forest gems are impressing?
Smith is not the only one making a statement in the academy, with 17-year-old Shakur Samuels boasting three goals in eight games this term.
David Modupe, a talented centre-back, is very well-composed, while supporters would love to see Kristian Clarke feature on the right flank.
As for those away from the City Ground, fans will be eager for Zach Abbott to make a positive return after his season-long loan at Southampton.
The early signs are not good at St Mary's Stadium, and the same can be said for Omari Hutchinson after just six games for AC Milan.
