Liverpool once again had to settle for a 2-2 draw in the Premier League as Victor Munoz’s late strike rescued a point against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

It was another sub-par performance from Andoni Iraola’s side as they were forced to come from behind twice to claim a point.

Many of Liverpool’s stars were poor at Anfield, with the club continuing to produce lacklustre displays.

One of the worst players on the pitch was Jeremie Frimpong, who struggled both offensively and defensively before he was subbed off in the second half.

Many Liverpool fans took notice of his display and have now seen enough.

Multiple supporters have since taken to social media to demand that the right-back is sold as he continues to underperform in Merseyside.

Liverpool fans fume with Jeremie Frimpong’s performance vs Nottingham Forest

Since his move from Bayer Leverkusen last summer, Frimpong has failed to live up to expectations at Anfield.

The right-back has continued to look like a weak link in the Reds’ starting XI, and this has continued so far in the 2026-27 campaign.

Despite a poor performance against Newcastle last weekend, Iraola kept Frimpong in the starting XI for Nottingham Forest, but he was once again unable to impress.

As a result, Liverpool fans are now calling for the defender to be sold this summer, and for the club to quickly find a replacement before the transfer window closes on 1 September.

How bad was Frimpong vs Nottingham Forest?

Frimpong certainly did not set the world alight against Forest.

According to Fotmob on 29 August, the defender created one chance, a 0.02 xA, had three touches in the opposition box, did not complete his one attempted dribble, failed to find a Liverpool player in his four attempted crosses, won zero aerial duels and completed three tackles.

As a result, it is clear that it was a poor day at the office for Frimpong, and it is of little surprise that the right-back was taken off midway through the second half.

However, it remains to be seen if Liverpool would be prepared to search for a replacement for Frimpong before the transfer window closes this summer, or if Iraola will stick by his player for the rest of the season.
