Tottenham Hotspur are set to travel to the City Ground to take on Nottingham Forest on Saturday as they look to pick up their first point of the campaign.

It has been a gruelling start for Roberto De Zerbi’s side, who have suffered a 3-0 defeat to Brentford and a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United in their opening two Premier League matches.

Pressure is already rising on the manager after Spurs splashed over £300million on new signings in the summer transfer window.

As a result, a victory against Forest is no doubt needed to get the North London club back on track.

However, Tottenham have an absolutely horrific recent record against the East Midlands side.

In their last four Premier League meetings, Forest have won every one, suggesting that it could be another difficult afternoon for De Zerbi’s men.

Nottingham Forest eye record vs Tottenham

According to BBC Sport on 4 September, Forest have never won five league matches in a row against Spurs.

However, the East Midlands club have a chance to break this record when they host Tottenham on Saturday.

For Spurs, these stats make for grim reading. When examining them, it would appear that Tottenham are set for further misery this weekend.

However, it remains to be seen if De Zerbi is able to get the best out of his new signings and secure an impressive victory at the City Ground.

Who is predicted to win in Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham?

According to Opta on 4 September, Forest are the slight favourites to come away with a victory on Saturday.

The East Midlands side have a 39.5 per cent chance of coming away with three points, compared to Tottenham’s 33.4 per cent.

The odds of a draw are currently placed at 27.1 per cent, which is unlikely to help either team at present.

Spurs’ poor odds of a victory are perhaps of little surprise given the fact that they have lost their first two matches and are yet to score a single goal in the Premier League this season.

Therefore, De Zerbi will know how important a victory could be on Saturday to stop the rot and help turn the club’s misfortunes around as quickly as possible.
