Morgan Gibbs-White ‘flattered’ by Arsenal interest as Nottingham Forest exit looms
Morgan Gibbs-White is considering a move to Arsenal after interest in his services emerged in recent weeks, sources have told Football Insider.
Gibbs-White was a standout throughout 2025-26 for Forest after signing a new contract last summer.
He ended the season as the second-highest English goalscorer in the Premier League, with 15 league strikes, but missed out on a spot in Thomas Tuchel's World Cup squad.
Several top clubs across Europe are weighing up a move for Gibbs-White ahead of the summer transfer window.
Forest intend to keep hold of the 26-year-old, but as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, he could be open to leaving amid interest from Champions League finalists Arsenal and PSG.
Evangelos Marinakis does not want to lose several top players this summer, with Elliot Anderson seeming likely to join Man City soon.
Gibbs-White has two years left on his Reds contract, so they are not set to be forced into a sale this summer.
Morgan Gibbs-White weighing up his future amid Arsenal and PSG interest
The 26-year-old has been a key man for Forest across several seasons, with 36 goals and 33 assists in 171 appearances for the club since 2022.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "We know how difficult it will be for him to be prised away. We saw that last summer when Tottenham were close to landing Gibbs-White, but Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis did everything in his power to keep Gibbs-White and tied him down to a new contract.
"Gibbs-White obviously lived up to that by having an outstanding season for Forest last year. It's still a bit of a surprise that he didn't make Thomas Tuchel's England squad.
"When you’ve got clubs of the ilk of Arsenal and PSG looking at you, I'm sure it'll be flattering for Gibbs-White."
Who else is interested in Gibbs-White?
Sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Forest would rather Gibbs-White joined PSG over Arsenal this summer.
They want to avoid playing him next season, and believe that the French side are more likely to meet their demands.
Recent reports have claimed that Tottenham are interested in the 26-year-old again despite being turned down last summer.
Man City and Man United have also been linked with his signature, but look to be prioritising other targets.
