Neco Williams has sent a goodbye message on social media after Omari Hutchinson left Nottingham Forest for AC Milan.

Forest's summer business has ramped up in the last few weeks ahead of the all-important Deadline Day.

They have been aiming to keep hold of their top talents after the appointment of Oliver Glasner proved their ambition to return to European competition soon.

Williams has been closely linked with a move away from the City Ground after some fantastic performance saw him win the Reds' 2025-26 Player of the Season award.

The Welsh full-back has attracted interest from top clubs, but seems unlikely to join Hutchinson in leaving Forest before the deadline passes.

Hutchinson did not figure in Glasner's plans for this season, given that he likes to play as a winger and the Austrian is planning to use wing-backs at Forest.

The 22-year-old featured 41 times across all competitions under four different bosses for Forest last term following a £37.5million move from Ipswich Town.

He only managed to score once and register six assists, however, and failed to feature in either of their first two Premier League games of the new campaign.

Milan announced on Monday night that they have signed Hutchinson on a season-long loan, as he links up with former Man United manager Ruben Amorim at the San Siro.

Their confirmation of the deal on Instagram saw Williams comment: "Forzaa licks", while Nico Dominguez left a like on the post too.

Could Williams leave Forest before the deadline?

Forest have made it clear that they want to hang on to Williams, with his contract not set to expire until 2029 after he penned fresh terms last summer.

Numerous top Premier League clubs have been linked to his services regardless, with sources revealing to Football Insider last week that Tottenham are pushing to agree a late move for Williams.

Reliable journalist Alasdair Gold took to X on Tuesday morning to explain that Spurs continue to hold an interest in the 25-year-old, but Forest are standing firm behind their view that he is not for sale in this window.

It is safe to say that a move for the Welsh star is considered unlikely, but not impossible, as it stands.
