Oliver Glasner is no longer able to make transfer additions, but that shouldn't stop Nottingham Forest from securing new deals.

The Reds' new signings have been a mixed back so far, with Xaver Schlager and Liam Delap impressing, but Daniel Munoz not so much.

Ousmane Diomande has finally slotted into the lineup after a summer fiasco with Sporting CP. Yet, Forest remain 13th in the Premier League table.

Unsurprisingly, given Evangelos Marinakis' trigger finger, Glasner is already under pressure, with Crystal Palace up next at Selhurst Park.

And just because the January transfer window is months away, that doesn't mean that there isn't a lot of work going on behind the scenes.

Football Insider has looked at three players who should be given fresh terms along the River Trent, ones who deserve a new contract.

Ola Aina

Despite being replaced at right-back, there is still hope that Ola Aina can play a big role moving forward, having changed position under Glasner.

The 30-year-old's contract expires in the summer of 2028, having only put pen to paper on a new one in 2025, but he could have several years left in Forest colours.

Xaver Schlager

Signing a two-year contract as a free agent during the summer, Xaver Schlager is already an incredible addition in the middle of the park.

At just 29 years of age, the Austrian could be a regular in the side for seasons to come, and the Reds should sort his future out as soon as possible.

Callum Hudson-Odoi

Callum Hudson-Odoi is a much trickier one. The winger has been struggling with injuries, and now he's got a difficult task of getting back into the lineup.

However, at just 25 years of age, and a contract running until 2028, it seems like a no-brainer to offer the former Chelsea man new terms.

On his day, he can be one of the most dangerous wingers in the division. Glasner just needs to bring that out of him again.
