Nottingham Forest should be growing even more attentive to Archie Brown's situation at Fenerbahce as he impresses in the Champions League for the Turkish giants.

Forest have struggled for form at the start of this campaign and currently sit 19th in the Premier League as a result.

Oliver Glasner has been left searching for answers to several issues in his squad as he faces uncertainty over his future at the City Ground.

The club will already be looking ahead to being able to bolster the first team squad in the new year, with Fenerbahce full-back Brown believed to be a long-term target.

Glasner clearly needs to add reinforcements to his backline and Brown's latest UCL performance proves that he would be a shrewd addition to his ranks.

The Englishman has been starring for the Turkish giants and was impressive in their latest European clash against Slavia Prague.

Archie Brown must move further up Nottingham Forest shortlist after Fenerbahce latest

Brown, 24, registered 11 goal contributions from left-back and left wing-back in 38 appearances across all competitions for Fener last term.

He emerged onto Forest's radar in the summer, according to reports in Turkiye, but they instead chose to bolster other defensive areas.

Brown has scored twice and provided one assist in 14 appearances so far in this campaign, and produced a fine showing on Tuesday evening against Slavia.

The 24-year-old made the joint-most defensive contributions (10) of any player in the 2-2 draw, had 94 per cent pass accuracy, completed three of four attempted dribbles and made the most clearances (4) of any Fener player.

He also won the second-most ground duels (8) and won the joint-most fouls (3) of any player on the pitch, proving his quality once more in Europe's premier club competition.

Forest reportedly remain keen on Brown's services ahead of January, and this was further proof that he has what it takes to make an impact in the Premier League in the near future.

Nottingham Forest have 'huge' Liam Delap concern

Brown has already publicly addressed Forest's interest

Luca Netz is struggling to challenge Neco Williams at left wing-back in Glasner's squad right now, while the Welshman has been heavily linked with his own move away from the East Midlands too.

The position seems like an obvious priority for the Reds manager, with Brown already effectively admitting that he would be open to arriving at the City Ground.

Speaking to The Sun last week, he hinted at a possible PL move in the future and namedropped Forest star Liam Delap as a close friend, saying: “Me and Morgan Rogers used to play together when I was a kid at West Brom. Liam (Delap) is an amazing person. That’s my brother, man.

“I have some friends in the Premier League. And of course, it’s one of, if not the best league in the world. I’m an Englishman, so I always stay up to date. I think if it’s the right club and the right moment in the future, you never know what can happen.”
