Nottingham Forest’s updated stance on Morgan Gibbs-White revealed after agent news
Nottingham Forest still have no plans to let Morgan Gibbs-White leave this summer as top clubs continue to monitor his services, sources have told Football Insider.
Gibbs-White has attracted interest from numerous sides in Europe's biggest leagues after a standout 2025-26 campaign.
The 26-year-old lit the City Ground up with impressive performances to help Forest avoid relegation, bagging 15 Premier League goals.
He still has two years left on his Reds contract after signing a new deal last summer in the face of serious interest from Tottenham.
Bayern Munich are the latest club to register their interest, but as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, Forest are not planning to sell Gibbs-White for any price before the window closes.
Oliver Glasner has made it clear that he wants the playmaker to stay for the coming campaign as Forest aim to push back up the top flight in the new season.
Morgan Gibbs-White set for Nottingham Forest stay despite transfer interest
Sources have told Football Insider that Gibbs-White has been flattered by Arsenal's interest this summer, but talk of their interest has quietened in the last few weeks.
The 26-year-old recently switched representatives from CAA Stellar to ROOF, but the change is not believed to relate to a possible move this summer.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "Obviously with the change of agents, that intensifies speculation that he potentially could be on the move as well, but I don't think Forest will want to lose the player. They're not actively looking to sell.
"They're under no pressure to sell Gibbs-White either. Having already sold Elliot Anderson in this window for big money, they won't want to lose another key man in the same window. All things point to Forest keeping Gibbs-White this summer. He'll still have a key role to play under Oliver Glasner.
"There is always going to be interest in top players like Gibbs-White, who had a great season last year. They had this last year when he came close to joining Tottenham, but they managed to tie him down to a new contract. I don't think Forest will be planning on any departure for Gibbs-White."
Forest to submit another bid for Lucas Bergvall alongside Newcastle
Glasner is aiming to improve the midfield around Gibbs-White this summer, rather than needing to sign a replacement for his key man.
The Reds saw an opening bid of £38million rejected for Tottenham starlet Bergvall earlier in the window, after he demanded to leave N17.
Sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Forest are lining up another offer for Bergvall soon, as Glasner ramps up his transfer plans.
Newcastle are also interested in a move and they are also planning to make a second bid for the Swede soon.
