The whispers could be right, Oliver Glasner is surely in danger at Nottingham Forest

Oliver Glasner's honeymoon period as Nottingham Forest manager appears to have come to a premature end this season.

The former Crystal Palace boss has claimed just one victory since arriving at the City Ground, a 2-1 win over Aston Villa away from home.

The Reds have also been knocked out of the Carabao Cup, and with no European football to consider, success in the Premier League is a must.

However, despite splashing the cash on Ousmane Diomande, Daniel Munoz and Liam Delap during the summer, performances have been far from ideal.

Forest are sitting 13th in the Premier League table after five matches, most recently losing 1-0 to relegation battlers Coventry City at home.

That was by far the most embarrassing result for Glasner so far, and we all know how well Evangelos Marinakis deals with embarrassment. Not very.

A 17 per cent win-rate is beyond unacceptable for the Austrian, especially when the Forest owner has ambitions of climbing the table and securing European qualification.

Glasner has more than enough talent at his disposal, but clearly, things aren't clicking at the City Ground, and he is increasingly likely to be given the sack.

Before the clash with Coventry, the 52-year-old was priced at 16/1 to be the next Premier League boss to leave, but that quickly changed.

Glasner is currently 12/1 to be sacked, and while there are several names ahead of him, such as Roberto De Zerbi and Michael Carrick, he could be considered one of the favourites.

Marinakis is known for his trigger finger, having gone through four managers between September 2025 and February 2026.

Whispers are intensifying that all is not quite as it should be at the City Ground and, for the manager, that usually only means one thing.
