Nottingham Forest 'in talks' to agree Arnaud Kalimuendo deal with multiple striker signings eyed
Nottingham Forest could yet wave goodbye to striker Arnaud Kalimuendo this summer despite him enjoying a strong pre-season.
The Frenchman struggled for game time at the City Ground last term, and spent the second half of the season out on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 24-year-old impressed during his time in Germany, as he netted six goals from just 19 games in the Bundesliga during his brief stint.
Kalimuendo's promising form has since continued into Forest's pre-season campaign, and he scored in each of their opening two summer friendlies.
However, that appears to have had little effect on Oliver Glasner, who could still allow him to leave the club in the coming weeks.
Forest are lining up deals for new striker additions, and that could put the writing on the wall for Kalimuendo.

Frankfurt have an option to buy Kalimuendo permanently for £22million, and while they are yet to trigger that clause so far this summer, it remains on the table for them.
According to The Telegraph, the German giants remain "in talks" with the East Midlands outfit over the frontman, and could yet make a move.
The former Rennes man is seemingly still behind the likes of Chris Wood, Igor Jesus and Taiwo Awoniyi in the pecking order, and things could be about to get even worse for him.
It is also understood that Chelsea star Liam Delap is a long-term target for both Forest and Glasner, and could leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
The Reds are weighing up a number of options to bolster their frontline, and have even been linked with a surprise move for Everton's Beto in recent days.
With Kalimuendo's exit clause still available to be triggered, an exit looks likely at this stage, despite the fact that many Forest fans would be happy to see him given a chance.
Forest ready to buy 'three more players' soon
Former Manchester City financial advisor Stefan Borson recently told Football Insider that he expects Forest to sign "three more players" soon.
He pointed out that owner Evangelos Marinakis has spent a "fortune" in recent summer windows, and he expects that to continue in the coming weeks.
Forest are on the verge of sealing their move for Sporting defender Ousmane Diomande, and have also been heavily linked with Lucas Bergvall.
They are committed to strengthening their squad for Glasner, and the expectation is that more deals are just around the corner.
