Nottingham Forest supporters have not reacted well to the club's new kit launch ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

The home kit was often ranked as one of the Premier League's best last term, but the latest addition has fans extremely frustrated.

It has hardly been a surprise for many, though, with the home kit, short and long-sleeved, being accidentally announced by Adidas earlier this week.

Supporters were left confused by the pattern on the shirt, and while the club's announcement video has cleared that up, many remain unconvinced.

The stain-looking pattern on the front is supposed to emulate the "mist rolling in" from the River Trent, but it has caused more controversy than positivity.

There are also concerns over the fact that the Reds are still without a front-of-shirt sponsor with just weeks until the new season kicks off.

Nottingham Forest announcement goes down like a lead balloon

After last season, supporters have been anxiously waiting for the arrival of the new kit, but the majority feel extremely let down right now.

The only saving grace is that Morgan Gibbs-White is in the video, suggesting that he'll be at the City Ground in 2026-27.

One fan has gone as far to say that "the design team needs sacking," while another is adamant "that's the worst home shirt we've ever had".

It's safe to say that the reaction hasn't been ideal for the Reds, but it is unlikely to impact the club's sales too much, with very few wanting to miss out.

Which new players could don the Forest kit next season?

With Oliver Glasner now in charge, it is just a matter of time before the signings start to be announced, and Evangelos Marinakis is never afraid to splash the cash.

Saying that, the next arrival could actually be a free transfer. Xaver Schlager appears set to join the Reds after his contract expired at RB Leipzig.

Forest are also pushing hard to sign Tottenham Hotspur's Lucas Bergvall, who is being viewed as a replacement for Elliot Anderson this summer.

Right-back duo Givairo Read and Dodo are also on the radar at the City Ground, and either would bring some much-needed depth to that flank.

Some have raised questions over Ola Aina's future due to these links, but if anything, Glasner needs more depth in the position, not just replacements.
