Ntcham tipped for Celtic talks after pre-season image emerges

Alan Hutton has tipped Ange Postecoglou to hold showdown talks after bringing Olivier Ntcham back into the fray at Celtic.

The former Scotland international, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested the 25-year-old could still have a future at Parkhead.

As reported by the Scottish Sun (July 5th), the Frenchman trained alone on the Bhoys’ return to pre-season last week.

However, Ntcham was photographed by the SNS Group as part of the squad travelling to Wales for a training camp.

Hutton insisted the midfielder needed to impress for the good of his career, either at Parkhead or elsewhere.

However, he suggested Postecoglou could give Ntcham a second chance if he proved he could be trusted.

“As long as his head’s in the game and he’s not messing about, creating problems, then you use the player,” Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge.

“I think that’s a conversation that’s going to have to be had between the manager and Ntcham.

“If he goes in there and starts messing about, he’s not helping himself. He’s only hindering himself so that’s pointless.

“He might as well give these all to the club and prove to everybody through performances that he’s worth that move.

“So that’s good for the club because the player’s playing well and it’s good for the player because he gets the move, ultimately, that he wanted.

“I think the new manager has brought him along to see where his head’s at if I’m honest.

To have a look at him away, in training, and see if he’s up for the fight. If so I think he’ll bring him back in.”
