Odds slashed on Harry Redknapp being next Tottenham manager after overnight development

Harry Redknapp is continuing to be tipped to take over at Tottenham Hotspur as Igor Tudor’s reign continues to go downhill.

The 79-year-old has been linked to the Spurs post for some time, with the club now embroiled in a relegation battle.

The appointment of Tudor has simply not worked out, with the manager losing all four of his matches so far.

Now, the bookies believe Harry Redknapp could become the next Tottenham manager, with Oddschecker on 11 March confirming that his odds have been slashed down to 20/1.

Who else is linked with the Tottenham job?

While the appointment of Redknapp is seen as increasingly likely by the bookies, the manager is far from the favourite.

As it stands, Mauricio Pochettino is seen as the most likely to take the job at 6/4, with the current US National Team coach continuously linked to the role ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Following closely behind is Roberto De Zerbi at 3/1. The former Brighton boss departed Marseille earlier this campaign after his failure to reach the Champions League knockout stages was followed by a heavy defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.

Robbie Keane is still in the running at 13/2, with the former Spurs star continuing to impress in Europe.

Potential outsiders are considered to be Sean Dyche and Scott Parker at 12/1, with both managers having won promotion from the Championship numerous times.

Will Tottenham sack Igor Tudor?

Before the Atletico Madrid match, Football Insider exclusively revealed that Tudor could be sacked by the March international break if results do not turn around.

This gives the manager three games to save his job against Liverpool, the Champions League second leg tie against Atletico and a crucial match versus Nottingham Forest.

The international break is seen as the ideal time to bring in his successor if defeats continue to become commonplace.

Tottenham were set to appoint their next permanent manager in the summer, but Tudor’s awful reign so far could force the hierarchy’s hand.

As it stands, Spurs are just one point above the relegation zone in 16th place in the Premier League as they prepare to travel to Anfield this weekend to take on Liverpool.
