Rangers have been installed as third favourites to sign former England international Gareth Barry this summer, according to the latest bookmakers’ odds.
Bet Victor have priced the Glasgow giants at 6/1 to land the central midfielder, who turned 37 and is without a club following the expiry of his West Brom contract last month.
Barry’s former club Aston Villa (7/2) are the favourites to land him, ahead of Cardiff City (4/1) and Rangers, while another Midlands outfit Wolves (10/1) are also in the running.
Evergreen midfielder Barry is the all-time leading Premier League appearance holder with over 650 games for a string of clubs.
The England international’s best years were during his decade-plus at Aston Villa, but he also helped Manchester City win two Premier League titles before moving on to Everton and West Bromwich Albion.
In other Rangers news, the Scottish giants are involved in a SHOCK transfer hijack that no-one saw coming.
