Jack Wilshere didn’t take too kindly to being left out of the England squad, after it was revealed that the Arsenal star would not be going to Russia – and Tottenham fans have put the boot in after he sent a tweet.
Following the news, the midfielder tweeted to say that he’s been fit and strong all season and said he believes he “should be in the squad!”
Wilshere sent the tweet out on Thursday night.
Think its about time I had my say…
It goes without saying that I’m naturally incredibly disappointed to have been left out of the England squad for the World Cup. I’ve felt fit, sharp and strong all season and believe I should be in the squad!— Jack Wilshere (@JackWilshere) May 17, 2018
Wilshere has enjoyed a better season with Arsenal after a loan stint at Bournemouth and massive injury problems.
However, it wasn’t enough to get him in the squad to head to the World Cup finals and Wilshere wasn’t happy.
Tottenham fans couldn’t wait to rip into him and flocked onto Twitter to give it to him with both barrels.

One fan said that he’d completely embarrassed himself with his tweet, and added that younger players had acted more professionally to the disappointing news.
Another said that it wad down to the smoking and asked if he’d eve tried patches.
Here are the best reactions from Tottenham fans to the Wilshere tweet:
I think the key to it all is the smoking. If you’d given up you’d be in. You should have tried patches, apparently they really work.

You've completely and utterly embarrassed yourself in your reaction to this news. Even young players who missed out have acted more professionally. Ruined any chance of getting in future squads. Pathetic.

He’s a deluded, self-obsessed berk, he should be supporting the players who have been picked, not bemoaning his own situation.

Grow up you child. You’ve finally played a season after being broken for almost your whole career and it’s coincided with Arsenal’s worse season in a decade. Mediocre waste of talent.

There is a difference between "feel" and "fact" – the lack of self-awareness and surfeit of self-delusion in this tweet is astounding. You've done nothing of substance to earn the call.

You can't get in the @Arsenal side regularly and couldn't even get in the @afcbournemouth side last season! Pipe down and enjoy your summer break.

Fit all season 😳🙈 how many games has he played, at his best a massive Yes but he hasn’t been anywhere near that for 2 years maybe more

Dude you’re garbage.. what have you EVER DONE in an England kit..?!??

However, if Wilshere was trawling through his replies he would have found one Spurs fan – just the one, mind – who bucked the trend.
As a die hard Spurs fan I'm gutted for you Jack. England needs a player like you. We may hate each other day to day but come the nation we are brothers … I'm as gutted as you are geez. 😕
