Aston Villa owner Dr. Tony Xia has urged fans to “be patient” as the West Midlands club has yet to complete a single signing since last season ended.

The Chinese businessman was responding to a concerned Villa fan on Twitter, who was worried about Steve Bruce not making any improvements to a squad which is currently joint favourite with SkyBet to win the 2017/18 Championship title.

The Mirror has recently reported that Chelsea legend John Terry is set to complete his move to Villa Park by the end of Sunday after he officially became a free agent following his release from the Premier League champions.

The fact that deal hasn’t been finalised sooner has clearly irked one Villa supporter in particular, which caused Xia to issue a response.

“No panic buys or sells for us now. So, be patient and relaxed. Ins: is a must; Outs: is a must, no more free Villa market,” he said on his personal Twitter account on Saturday afternoon.

Since Xia’s arrival at Aston Villa, he hasn’t shied away from splashing the cash to help the club return to the Premier League and regularly takes to social media to update fans on certain deals in ambiguous ways.

However there was nothing cryptic about his latest tweet, which will definitely relax supporters into knowing that he is willing to take time to secure the right kind of signings.

Villa finished in an underwhelming 13th place last season, after one stage looking as though they were on the verge of another relegation battle.
