Peter Reid delivers scathing attack on Everton ace after manager comments
By Amir Mir
Peter Reid has delivered a scathing attack on Everton ace Ross Barkley by stating he would “sell him tomorrow”.
The former England international believes he doesn’t see the playmaker perform for his side during the “big games”.
His manager Ronald Koeman recently commented on his future and told him that he has a week to sign a new contract.
Reid clearly wasn’t happy with the Toffees player, who he would ship out instantly after a number of poor performances in big matches.
“I watched him at the derby game at Anfield, he was distinctly average,” Reid told beinsports. “I watched him against Chelsea, he was worse than distinctly average. In the big games, I don’t see him.

“I’d sell him tomorrow, I’d get me dough tomorrow. If he doesn’t want to play for Everton football club, see you later.”
Barkley’s contract at Goodison Park is due to expire during the summer of 2018, but Koeman has revealed that he will sell the player this summer if he doesn’t extend his current deal.
If Barkley were to move in the summer then he would have left on a high note after he scored the winning goal for his team against Watford.
The club’s academy product scored the only goal of the game as Koeman’s side beat the Hornets 1-0 on Friday night in what was their final home match of the season.
Over the course of the campaign, Barkley has played 38 games in all competitions for his side, scoring six goals added with nine assists.
He is not the only Toffees player who has not signed a new deal, with striker Romelu Lukaku also opting against signing a new contract.
