Jack Harrison is facing the axe when Leeds United welcome Liverpool to Elland Road next Monday, according to Kevin Phillips.
The former Sunderland striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, urged Bielsa to not change a winning team after Leeds pulled off a major shock with their win against Manchester City on Saturday.
A Stuart Dallas brace downed the Premier League champions-elect in their own back yard despite the Whites being down to ten men.
Harrison missed the game due to the terms of his Man City loan and Helder Costa was very impressive in his stead.
Phillips wants to see Bielsa keep the same team for the Liverpool clash, aside from the suspended Liam Cooper’s replacement.
“It’s Bielsa isn’t it? He’s his own man and he’s quite a stubborn guy so it wouldn’t surprise me if Harrison came back in,” Phillips told Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs.
“I’d be disappointed if I was a player missing out after an away win at Man City, I’d like to think he’ll go with the same team again.
“Obviously he’ll have to bring someone in for Cooper but for me, pick the same team and send them in again.
“Then you’ve got no issues or anyone knocking on your door going ‘why have you dropped me?’.
“It’s Bielsa, we’ve seen him surprise us before but me personally, I’d go with the same team.”
Harrison, 24, has been a virtual ever-present for Leeds this season, starting 27 of their 31 Premier League games so far.
He has spent the last three seasons Leeds and a clause in his contract enables them to convert his latest loan into a £10m permanent deal next summer.
