Outspoken journalist and Arsenal fan Piers Morgan has stated that “nothing’s changed” with the Gunners after their disappointing 1-0 defeat to Stoke City on Saturday.
The Gunners travelled to the Britannia stadium on Saturday with three points already under their belt from their previous 4-3 win against Leicester City last week.
However, Arsene Wenger’s side failed to replicate their opening victory and walked away from their Stoke clash without any points to add to their tally.
Arsenal appeared to dominate throughout the goalless first-half of the game, but Stoke winger Jese Rodriguez hammered home the winning goal just minutes into the second half of the game leaving the Gunners trailing behind.
Arsene Wenger’s new signing Alexandre Lacazette looked to have equalised but the linesman ruled the Frenchman’s goal offside by just a fraction.
The Good Morning Britain presenter, Piers Morgan, reflected on Arsenal’s opening few games of the season and boldly claimed that the north London side were lucky against Leicester, and said that nothing had changed from their previous disappointing Premier League run.
The journalist revealed his verdict on his personal Twitter account after the club’s defeat on Saturday.
Morgan said: “Lucky win last week. Beaten by Stoke this week. Nothing’s changed. Same old mediocre Wenger c**p.”

Wenger became increasingly unpopular last season among Arsenal supporters, as despite the club’s FA Cup win, the Gunners finished in fifth place in the Premier League and missed out on a Champions League spot for the first time in the Frenchman’s reign.
Despite heavy scrutiny, the 67-year-old extended his contract with the club which will see him remain at the helm of the club for a further two years.
Arsenal look ahead to a tricky match against Liverpool away at Anfield next weekend where Wenger’s side will be hoping to secure three points.
In other Arsenal transfer news, Manchester United are set to hijack the Gunners’ pursuit of a Monaco winger.
