Piers Morgan reacts to Tottenham moving 17 points clear of Arsenal
By Harvey Byrne
Celebrity Arsenal fan Piers Morgan did not take Tottenham’s weekend victory over Bournemouth well as it now meant they had move 17 points clear of their fierce rivals.
The two north London sides are highly competitive both on and off the field, but Spurs haven’t managed to finish above the Gunners since 1995.
It looked like last season may have brought that run to an end, but a devastating end of season collapse meant that Arsenal were able to leapfrog Tottenham and finish in second with the latter taking up third place.
Spurs are in a similar position themselves this season, but as Arsenal have eight matches of the season left it looks like they may have too much of an ask to make up the 17-point gap.
Morgan seemingly doesn’t have much faith either and after Tottenham’s 4-0 win over Bournemouth he mocked manager Arsene Wenger on his personal Twitter account by claiming the club should give the Frenchman a new contract after this season’s failures.

Tottenham’s next match will see them take on Chelsea in an FA Cup semi-final clash at Wembley before facing Sam Allardyce’s Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
They will then face Arsenal on 30 April at the Emirates Stadium in the crucial north London meeting.
In other Tottenham news, Spurs fans have reacted on Twitter to Vincent Janssen’s Twitter post after the Bournemouth win.
