Danny Mills has tipped a “big Premier League club” to swoop for Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-United is convinced the “unique” Argentine has already done enough in his season-and-a-half in England to be targeted by a leading top flight outfit.
Bielsa transformed the fortunes of Leeds in his first campaign as they finished third in the Championship and they have become even more consistent this season.
The Yorkshire giants’ seven-match winning run came to an end when they let slip a three-goal lead to draw 3-3 against Cardiff City last Saturday, but they are second in the division and 10 points clear of Preston North End in third place.
Mills claims his former club are extremely vulnerable to losing Bielsa if they do not secure promotion this season.
“He is unique, there’s no one else like Bielsa from top to bottom,” the former England international told Football Insider. “The preparation, the intensity, he basically lives, sleep, breathes football.
“He lives at the training ground, sleeps there, lives at the office. Incredible. It’s incredible what he does and Leeds are lucky to have him.
“My worry is if Leeds don’t get up this season, a big Premier League side will come looking for him or maybe he would have had enough and will want to move on.”
Leeds are next in action on Saturday when they travel to Craven Cottage to face Fulham.
