Pochettino delivers worrying Alderweireld update ahead of Tottenham v Palace, tests in 24 hours
Maurico Pochettino has said that Toby Alderweireld suffered a problem in training, leaving him unable to finish the session.
He confirmed that the injury was in the same leg as the previous one he suffered which had kept him out of action for three months.
Pochettino was talking at the pre-match press conference ahead of the game with Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Pochettino didn’t rule him out of the game but said that he would have to be assessed over the next 24 hours.
#thfc Alderweireld a doubt for Sunday's game at Palace with a small injury in the same leg that kept him out for more than 3 months. He'll be assessed today and tomorrow.

#thfc Pochettino says Toby Alderweireld couldn’t finish yesterday’s training session as he “suffered a small incident in the same leg” (as the hamstring injury). He’ll be assessed to see if he can train again and face Palace. No comment on contract situation, predictably.

The news will be worrying for Tottenham fans who had been delighted to see him back in action.
But there’s a lot more going on with Alderweireld at the moment too, with reports claiming that he is at an impasse with Tottenham over his new contract.
The Sun reported earlier that Tottenham might be forced to sell him in the summer or risk losing him on the cheap.
