Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is considering giving new January signing Lucas Moura his first Premier League start in the game against Crystal Palace on Sunday, according to a report.
The Evening Standard claims that he is weighing up wether to start him after he impressed in the 2-2 FA Cup draw with Rochdale last weekend.
This comes after he warned Tottenham fans not to expect too much from Moura as he would need easing back into action.
The 25-year-old winger signed from Paris Saint-Germain on deadline day for a fee of £26million and scored his first goal against Rochdale.
His all-round game impressed as well and it might have brought him his first Premier League start.
However, after starring in 37 La Liga games in the 16/17 season, Moura only made five cameo appearances in the first half of the season for a total of 71 minutes for PSG.
That led to concerns over his fitness and match sharpness, but these seem to have been allayed, although Heung-Min Son could consider himself harshly treated if he lost his place to Moura after his stunning run of recent form.
Tottenham travel to Crystal Palace for the Sunday lunchtime game in front of the Sky cameras, with a 12pm kick-off.
