Postecoglou may pull plug on Ntcham quitting Celtic 'according to my mate' - Scots pundit
Ange Postecoglou may get the best out of Olivier Ntcham at Celtic, according to Alex McLeish.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Rangers and Scotland manager praised the new Hoops boss for reintegrating Ntcham into his squad.
The 25-year-old last featured for Celtic in December and joined Marseille on loan in January.
He endured a disaster time in France with Marseille boss Andre Villas-Boas offering to resign after the board went against his wishes and singed Ntcham.
Ntcham is currently with the Celtic squad at their pre-season training camp in Wales as they prepare for their crucial Champions League qualifier later this month,
“If the guy’s fit and he’s showing a great attitude then you can’t just freeze people out,” McLeish told Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge.

“If he’s a match to other players or better, why cut your nose off to spite your face? You have to keep those guys as part of your squad because they’re under contract and otherwise it would be a waste of money. You don’t want to waste the club’s resources.
“If he’s got something to offer the team, Postecoglou may get the best out of the guy. The Ntcham of a couple of years ago.
“Let’s see. Time will tell. Postecoglou is an intelligent guy, according to my mate in Australia who played with him.
“Postecoglou seems pretty reasonable and he’ll need every bit of help he can get.”
Ntcham has scored 24 goals and contributed 13 assists in 147 games for Celtic across all competitions for Celtic.
He featured in just six games for Marseille last term.
