Day of long knives continues as proven performer bombed out of Rangers by Caixinha - report
By Harry Sykes
Philippe Senderos has been bombed out of Rangers as the day of the long knives claimed another victim, according to a report.
The Daily Mail claimed on Tuesday that veteran centre-back Clint Hill will be released at the end of the season following talks with Pedro Caixinha.
The Scottish Sun report that Hill will be joined through the exit door by another veteran of Premier League football in Senderos.
The 32-year-old learned on Tuesday morning that he will not be offered another deal by Rangers following a wretched debut campaign.
Senderos was signed on a one-year contract by ex-manager Mark Warburton last summer but he has made just four appearances for the Scottish giants all season.

The former Arsenal, Aston Villa and Fulham player, who is a 57-times Switzerland international, has not figured since Caixinha was appointed manager and last played in the 1-1 draw against Ross County in February.
Midfield duo Emerson Hyndman and Jon Toral have also played their last games for Rangers as injuries mean they will return to their parent clubs before the end of their loan spells.
Football Insider verdict:
Senderos has aged about as well as an over-ripe banana. Hailed as a potential centre-back great in his early days at Arsenal, he has not lived up to his early potential and it is little surprise that Caixinha has bombed him out. Rangers need to put their faith in rising stars with the potential to improve, not Premier League has-beens whose best days are so far behind them it is hard to even recollect them at all.
