'Tough' – Sky Sports pundit predicts Aston Villa v Preston
By George Brooks
Sky Sports Championship expert David Prutton has delivered his prediction for Aston Villa’s clash at Preston this evening.
Preston are without a win in their last four Championship matches, but Prutton is expecting a difficult game for Steve Bruce’s Villa side and has predicted a 1-1 draw for the showdown at Deepdale.
“Aston Villa could have won the Second City derby on Sunday with the chances they had late on, but it was a tough game and this will be another tough one for them,” Prutton told Sky Sports.
Despite Sunday’s frustrating draw with rivals Birmingham, Villa have won five of their last seven league matches and another a success tonight would see them climb to fifth in the Championship table.
However, the West Midlands side are two only points ahead of Preston in eighth place and will be overtaken by their opponents if they lose.

Alex Neil’s side took four points from their two league meetings Villa last season, winning 2-0 at Deepdale and coming from behind to draw 2-2 at Villa Park.
Villans boss Bruce has a poor managerial record at Deepdale, losing all of his three visits there by a 1-0 scoreline.
His side also have a poor away record in November and have only managed to win one of their last 15 away league games in the month.
