Pundit Exclusive: Celtic told to sign winger who's 'Better than Sinclair' amid Sky reveal

Celtic should consider a move for Leicester City winger Demarai Gray this month, according to Paul Robinson.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and Leeds United goalkeeper said the 24-year-old is a “top player” who is better than former Parkhead favourite Scott Sinclair.

Gray has fallen out of favour at Leicester City this season and has only made one appearance in the Premier League.

Sky Sports claim the attacker, who is reportedly available for just £1.8million this month, has agreed personal terms with Bayern Leverkusen.

The former England Under-21 international has made 169 career appearances for the Foxes and contributed 13 goals and 17 assists.

When asked if Celtic should rival the German club for the winger in a Scott Sinclair-like transfer, Robinson told Football Insider:

“Gray is a better player than Scott Sinclair and for £1.8million I think he is an absolute bargain.

“I think he is a top player and would be a very good signing for Celtic.

“There is a lot going on behind-the-scenes at that club though, there is a lot of unrest.

“Neil Lennon is under huge pressure at the moment and there is talk of a new manager being brought in. I do not think Lennon will be given any money to spend if there is a chance he will not be there long-term.

“Things in the background need to be sorted before they can sign players.”
