Frank McAvennie claims Everton would be getting “a bargain” if they signed Real Madrid attacker Isco for £20million in January.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, former West Ham and Celtic striker claimed the 28-year-old would “get fans off their seat” and is “the kind of player” he wants to see in Premier League.
According to French outlet Le10sport, Ancelotti is preparing a move for Isco in January with Real Madrid willing to listen to offers in the region of £20million for the Spain international.
The playmaker, who worked with Ancelotti at the Bernabeu between 2013 and 2015, has two years remaining on his contract in the Spanish capital.
McAvennie claims Isco will be drawn by the promise of Premier League football.
“Everyone is leaving Real Madrid, is it something Zidane said,” he joked to Football Insider.
“It would be a bargain for £20million, that’s for sure.”
“Look, Barcelona and Real are not the forces they used to be and while they will return to the top players want to play in the Premier League because that is where the money is and that is where the competition is.
“Ever since Pep and Klopp came over it has been magnificent.
“Players want money and the money is in England so I think it would be a good fit for Isco at Everton.
“You want to see top players. He will get fans off their seat. He is the kind of player you want in England.”
