Pundit hails Benitez 'nothing short of miraculous' after Everton latest
Frank McAvennie insists Rafael Benitez is doing an “unbelievable” job at Everton.
The former West Ham hitman, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claims the toffees will only get better as the season goes on.
Benitez took over from Carlo Ancelotti in the summer in controversial circumstances.
The Liverpool legend was targeted by disgruntled fans who left banners near his family home.
Everton sit fifth in the Premier League and drew against Manchester United in their last game.
Benitez has players like Andros Townsend and Demarai Gray playing out of their skin and McAvennie is not surprised.

The former striker claims fans were always going to change their opinions on Benitez if he started winning games.
“He is getting good results,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Fans are like that aren’t they? Not just at Everton, it happens everywhere.
“The tide turns when good results come. Benitez is a professional and he’s an excellent coach.
“No matter what you think of him as a man, we knew the results would come. He has the track record.
“He’s in thee every day, working hard, and it’s paying off. Benitez is only going to get Everton playing better as the season goes on as well.
“Once he has his own squad there. What he’s getting out of the current players is unbelievable.
“He was nothing short of miraculous at Newcastle and he’s doing something similar at Everton.
“Who saw this start coming, it’s a miracle.”
