Pundit: 'I'm sure' West Ham will return for Zouma after major Sky update
Kevin Phillips predicts West Ham will return for Kurt Zouma after talks broke down with Nikola Milenkovic.
The Sunderland legend, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, reacted to the latest Hammers transfer news.
Sky Sports claim that the Hammers’ proposed £14million deal for Milenkovic has collapsed.
It was also claimed Tottenham have opened talks with Fiorentina about signing the player.
Milenkovic was supposedly set to move to the London Stadium, with some Italian media outlets reporting that the deal was done [Alfredo Pedulla].
On 3rd August, Sky Sports‘ Dharmesh Sheth claimed West Ham and Chelsea remained apart in their valuation of Zouma.

However, following Milenkovic’s collapsed move, Phillips predicts the Hammers will return for Zouma.
“Logistically, it could work,” Phillips told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He lives in London and West Ham need someone who can come in straight away.
“He won’t have to adapt and Moyes wants to hit the ground running, I’m sure.
“Zouma has that Premier League experience and has plenty of medals too.
“If you stick that all together it makes sense. He may cost a few quid but West Ham must have the money.
“It could be a really good signing for them. They still haven’t signed anyone so I’m sure they are looking to get that over the line soon.”
The Frenchman, 26, has two tears remaining on his current Chelsea deal.
West Ham are set to get their 2021-22 Premier League campaign up and running against Newcastle on Sunday.
