Pundit: Liverpool 'is not attractive' after shattering Klopp reveal
Frank McAvennie claims Liverpool won’t spend big on a new attacker to refresh their front line this summer.
The former West Ham hitman, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, reacted to an update on Jurgen Klopp’s situation.
On Tuesday (27th July), Football Insider revealed Klopp has told friends he is “unhappy” with Liverpool’s current transfer struggles,
Liverpool have only signed centre back Ibrahima Konate this summer after they failed to defend their Premier League crown last season.
Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino had quiet campaigns in front of goal with it being suggested the club’s attack needs more fresh blood.
Diogo Jota arrived at Anfield last summer from Wolves and impressed during an injury-filled stop-start campaign.

When asked if Liverpool will splash out on a new attacker this summer, McAvennie told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild, “No, I can’t see it.
“I can see them spending a bit of money but they never seem to have any.
“Look at the money Manchester United are spending. They have that new centre-half but is he going to make a load of difference?
“Is he going to get them back to where they were? Not for me.
“If they get another attacker, you have to think who gets replaced?
“Mane, Salah or Firmino? They have Jota as well and as long as they are all fit they will all start.
“Going to Liverpool is not attractive to attackers for that reason.”
Liverpool travel to Premier League new boys Norwich on the first day of the new season.
Klopp will be hoping his side can make a better account of themselves domestically and in Europe this time out.
