Pundit makes 'brilliant' Kane prediction after what he's seen in person at Tottenham
Alan Hutton has insisted it is only a “matter of time” before Harry Kane hits top gear again at Tottenham.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs defender claimed he could see the 28-year-old’s confidence rising in the 2-1 win over Aston Villa.
Kane came into the clash against the Villans off the back of a hat-trick against Mura in the Europa Conference League.
While he failed to net against Villa, he still tested Emiliano Martinez between the sticks, including with an effort from the halfway line.
Hutton, who was at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to watch the game between his old sides, insisted he saw Kane’s “brilliance” in flashes.
He suggested Spurs fans would see the best of him in no time after a slow start to the season.

“It’s a matter of time before it clicks,” Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge.
“Coming off the bench and scoring a hat-trick in the Europa Conference League will do his confidence the world of good.
“I saw, in flashes, the brilliance is there. The effort from the halfway line, a little backheel in the dying minutes that nearly set up a goal.
“It was there, the confidence is coming. I just think when they play a 4-2-3-1, it doesn’t really allow for Kane to drop deep. Stay up, Ndombele or whoever can do that number 10 role.
“You just concentrate on being on the box and affecting things. I think that works best for him. He’s not under pressure to try and create anything.
“We saw him in the against Mura, he was making those runs, those runs in behind. He was getting on the ball in behind defenders and that’s where you want to see him.”
