Pundit shares Kane quit bombshell after Tottenham 'broken promises'
Noel Whelan has tipped Harry Kane to quit Tottenham this summer after a season of broken promises.
The former Leeds United striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested the 27-year-old would be frustrated by the lack of progress by Spurs this term.
The Lilywhites’ tumultuous campaign hit a new low on Thursday as a 3-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb saw them knocked out of the Europa League.
Spurs, who are also out of the FA Cup, currently sit eighth in the Premier League table, six points off the top four.
They have however reached the final of the League Cup where they will face Manchester City.
Whelan has suggested Kane may have thought about leaving last summer and that a lack of progress means he will be looking for a move at the end of the season.

Whelan told Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge: “He gave them an extra season on the back of wanting progression. Have they progressed, no?
“He stayed to give them a season of progression and a season where they want to be successful. Now, they’ve not been successful. A player like Harry Kane cannot linger around a club fifth or sixth in the Premier League.
“I’ll be really surprised if Harry Kane decides to stay at Tottenham. I don’t think they’ve lived up to the promises to Harry Kane. They probably did it with the fact that Gareth Bale was coming in.
“These players are coming in, we’re buying this player, that player. Harry Kane hasn’t got enough years in his football lifespan to waste any more time if he wants to wins trophies.
“You’ve got to move, you’ve got to move now. You’ve got to do it yourself as a player to get every little bit of chance of winning silverware.
“He’s been their ever-present and come through the ranks. However, as much as he loves Tottenham, that is not the club where he’s going to win trophies.”
