London-club manager confident of signing £13m Tottenham player - Sources
QPR are increasingly confident they can use Mark Warburton’s strong connections at Tottenham to lure Jack Clarke this month.
Football Insider revealed earlier this week that the west London outfit are among the three clubs leading the loan race for the winger, 19, along with Derby County and Millwall.
A QPR source has told Football Insider how the club believe they can see off intense competition for Clarke thanks to Warburton.
He is confident he can now steal a march on multiple Championship rivals, who also include Middlesbrough, Fulham, Swansea City and Nottingham Forest, to land the dazzling wide man.
The 57-year-old has a strong reputation for developing young players and has been successful in signing a number of players from Tottenham in recent years.
Spurs midfielder Luke Amos is on a season-long loan at Loftus Road and Tottenham academy product Dylan Duncan also made the move to west London last summer when he was released by the Premier League giants.

Warburton also sealed loan deals with Tottenham for Dominic Ball and Nathan Oduwa when he was manager of Rangers.
The former Brentford and Nottingham Forest boss’ strong relations with the Spurs academy and Under-23s set-up could now prove pivotal as QPR look to mount a promotion push.
They are six points adrift of the play-off positions in 15th spot.
Clarke joined Tottenham for £9.5million rising to a potential £13m last summer before being loaned straight back to Leeds.
Jose Mourinho has made up his mind that Clarke will go out on a fresh loan following his recall from Leeds.
He made just three appearances for the Yorkshire giants in the opening half of the campaign, two of which came in the League Cup.
In the latest Tottenham news, it can be REVEALED that Mourinho’s charm offensive has worked and a Spurs player has made contract U-turn.
