Sources: Rangers to announce McCann signing today as next-year plan revealed
Rangers are planning to announce the signing of Charlie McCann from Man United today after reaching a full agreement, Football Insider understands.
The Glasgow giants will pay United around £750,000 for the 19-year-old.
Ibrox sources have told Football Insider that McCann has agreed a three-year contract after passing a medical yesterday.
The plan is for him to initially play in the Rangers ‘B’ team before graduating to their first-team set-up next year.
He will become their fourth summer signing after Fashion Sakala, John Lundstram and Nnamdi Ofoborh.
McCann will be United’s first permanent sale of the summer.

The club describes the 19-year-old, who joined their academy from Coventry City in July 2018, as a “creative ball-playing” midfielder.
He did not make a senior appearance during his time at Old Trafford but featured 62 times across various age groups.
Those appearances yielded an impressive 17 goals and seven assists.
A versatile operator, the new Rangers recruit has starred in defensive, central and wide midfield roles in his short career so far.
McCann represented the Republic of Ireland at the Under-17 European Championship in 2019.
Rangers are stacked with talent in midfield with the likes of Joe Aribo, Glen Kamara, Scott Arfield, Steven Davis and new signing John Lundstram.
The Rangers ‘B’ team meanwhile have embarked on their first season in the Lowland League in 2020-21.
They have won nine points from their first four matches in the division and are currently 3rd in the league table.
