Hutton amazed by what he saw from 'unreal' Kent in person at Rangers
Ryan Kent put in an outstanding performance for Rangers against Real Madrid – and he looks like he has “bulked up” over the summer.
So says ex-Ibrox right-back Alan Hutton, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after Rangers’ 2-1 win over Los Blancos on Sunday (25th July).
Hutton watched the action unfold in the flesh as goals from new signing Fashion Sakala and Cedric Itten secured an impressive victory.
Kent hit the crossbar in the first half and was a menace throughout until he was substituted off with half an hour remaining.
Hutton was bowled over by the 24-year-old wide man’s performance, as well as his new and improved physique.
He told Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge: “Ryan Kent look so sharp, honestly. Some of the things that he does… Unreal.

“He looks to me like he’s bulked up over the summer. He’s small in height but he’s always been quite strong.
“He looks even bigger again now. He must have worked on it all summer.
“Kent looked raring to go. Some of his skills out wide, the Real Madrid defence just couldn’t handle him.
“Take away the scoreline and I still think Steven Gerrard can be very excited.
“Yes, if we’re going to nitpick, they probably could have scored more goals. We should have been more clinical in the final third but I think that comes with time.
“But the overall performance was brilliant and I have to give Kent a mention.“
