Kieran Maguire issues '£85m' reveal as 'most important financial moment in Rangers history' looms
Rangers could earn up to £85million in revenue for the season if they go on to win the Europa League.
That is the view of finance guru Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Glasgow club’s historic run to the final.
Rangers overturned a 1-0 deficit from the first leg to beat RB Leipzig 3-2 on aggregate in the semi-final at Ibrox on Thursday (5 May).
This site revealed on Tuesday (3 May) that they had already trousered £25million from their European exploits this term.
And Maguire claims that Rangers could be set to announce a huge increase on the £48m turnover they generated in 2020-21.
“You get an extra £3.4m for winning the final,” he told Football Insider‘s Adam Williams.

“That also qualifies you for the Super Cup. So, there are lots of potential add-ons.
“Rangers’ income was £48m in 2020-21. I think it will be closer to £75m or £80m in 2022.
“But winning the Europa League would be the transformational issue because that gets you into the group stages of the Champions League next season.
“That means Celtic can’t accelerate away from them from a financial point of view next season.
“So, it’s a huge, huge match. It’s potentially the most important financial match in the history of the club.”
Rangers will face Eintracht Frankfurt in the final in Seville on 18 May.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst‘s side are also preparing for the Scottish Cup final three days after the clash in Spain.
