Rangers expected to include release clause to 'rush' another new contract after Kamara deal is done - pundit
Alan Hutton has urged Joe Aribo to follow in Glen Kamara’s footsteps to sign a new contract at Rangers.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gers defender suggested tying the 25-year-old down would be a “priority” for the Light Blues.
As confirmed last week (22nd September), Kamara has signed a new contract until 2025.
The midfielder’s old contract was set to run out in the summer of 2023, the same summer Aribo’s current terms expire.
As confirmed in August, Connor Goldson is also in talks over a new deal.
Hutton suggested tying Aribo down should be high on Rangers’ list of priorities.

He claimed the club could agree a release clause to “rush through” a deal.
Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “It must be a priority. He’s one of the top players within that squad.
“For him, as a player, to see the likes of Glen Kamara sign a new deal. Obviously, there’s one been offered to Connor Goldson, we don’t quite know what’s happening there yet.
“There’s people round about him that are signing. Hopefully, he can follow in their footsteps.
“You can come up with some sort of clauses if some top team does come in for them. There can be a figure put in there that’s acceptable on both sides.
“That can also rush through a deal, if you want. We’ll wait and see how it pans out.”
Aribo joined Rangers on a free transfer after leaving Charlton Athletic at the end of his contract in 2019.
The seven-cap Nigeria international has played 104 times across all competitions for the Glasgow giants.
