Rangers fans demand Djeidi Gassama’s contract is ‘ripped up’ after star shares ’embarrassing’ photo
Rangers fans have completely lost patience with winger Djeidi Gassama after he took to social media ahead of Sunday’s clash with Celtic.
The Gers are heading into the latest Old Firm derby clash with their hopes of winning the Scottish Premiership title now gone, after consecutive defeats in recent weeks.
Danny Rohl’s men are now focused on ensuring that their bitter rivals do not lift the title for the fifth season in a row, and they could hand a huge boost to Hearts with victory at Parkhead on Sunday.
It has been a campaign that has ultimately ended in disappointing fashion for the Ibrox outfit, but the prospect of a place in Champions League qualifying remains on the table for them in the coming weeks.
Rangers need a win at Celtic to keep their hopes alive in that respect, and Gassama could be needed to play a key role for them across Glasgow.

Gassama has often frustrated Rangers fans with his lack of consistency so far this season, and he has fallen to the fringes of the squad in recent weeks.
The winger has started just three of the Gers’ last seven Premiership games, as Rohl has often preferred to turn to other options from the off in the crucial stages of the campaign.

However, Gassama could be involved this weekend, and fans have already made their furstrations clear to him after he posted a photo of himself doing his celebration with one finger over his lips and one in his ear on his Instagram story on Saturday night.
The post has sent Rangers fans into uproar on X, after the team have been subject to strong criticism for the way their title hopes have faded away in recent weeks.
One fan shared the post, accompanied by the caption: “just shows the attitude of these losers,” while another suggested that the wideman had done all this just to “drop another terrible display.”
Another supporter even went as far as to suggest that the 22-year-old should have his contract “ripped up” for the post, while another simply labelled it as “embarrassing.”

Gassama already heading for imminent Ibrox exit
Football Insider revealed back in February that Rangers will consider selling Gassama this summer if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.
That now looks increasingly likely after recent results, and it may see Rangers tempted to cash in if an offer in the region of £10million comes in for the wideman.
He was subject to strong interest from the likes of Monaco and Villarreal during the January window, but the Gers knocked back an offer of that valuation as they were reluctant to lose him in the middle of the campaign.
With their season now ending with a similar sinking feeling, they are set to pay serious consideration to moving the youngster on ahead of next term.
Gassama still possesses a significant re-sale value at Ibrox, and that cash could then be spent on more impactful new additions ahead of next season.
