Next up: Rangers vs Motherwell

Rangers stayed on track in the Scottish Premiership in the most dramatic of circumstances, defeating Falkirk 6-3 in a nine-goal thriller. It was nervy at times, but it backed up victories over Aberdeen and Dundee United either side of the international break, and was particularly crucial as leaders Hearts and third-place Celtic were also winners as a thrilling title tussle heads towards a conclusion. Next up, Motherwell visit Ibrox on April 26 as the Gers look to come out on top. The Ibrox faithful sense an excellent opportunity to wrestle back the title having done fantastic work to get back in the race. It would be a remarkable achievement given the upheaval endured under Russell Martin at the start of the campaign, but the quest for 56 is well and truly alive.

Post-split fixtures announced

Rangers will be kind of thankful for their post-split fixtures. It was always known that they were going to be playing away against league leaders Hearts and Old Firm rivals Celtic, but not having to play either of them in the last two matches of the campaign is a boost. On the final day, Celtic will be hosting Hearts at Parkhead, while the Gers will be in Falkirk. It’s a three-man shoot-out to win the title and those games against one another are bound to be critical.
