Ryan Naderi and Tuur Rommens return

It was a rotten Bank Holiday Monday for Rangers as they all but exited the Scottish Premiership title race with a 2-1 defeat away at Hearts. Despite controlling the game for large spells and going a goal ahead in the first half, Danny Rohl admitted after full-time that it would be “extremely difficult” for him to take his side to the top of the league at this stage. Thankfully, there was some good news ahead of Sunday’s trip to Celtic, with Ryan Naderi and Tuur Rommens both making it back into the squad after their spells on the sidelines.

And the rest of the Rangers squad?

As it stands, it looks as though Bailey Rice is the only Rangers player who’ll definitely miss the final Old Firm derby of the campaign on Sunday. Rice has been absent since November after undergoing surgery on a knee injury. As his contract expires this summer, it’s likely that he’s already played his final game for the Gers.

John Souttar missed the loss at Hearts with an unspecified issue. Rohl, however, downplayed the severity of the centre-back’s issues last week, suggesting that he could be fine to face Celtic.
