Rangers fans have reacted with delight after Jordan Rossiter returned to action for the club in the Under-20s game against Valencia on Monday morning.
He skippered his side to a 1-0 win in Spain and, more importantly, came through the fixture unscathed.
The 20-year-old midfielder moved from Liverpool on a free transfer in the summer of 2016 but picked up a calf injury in the early part of the 2016/17 season that kept him out of action for the remainder of that campaign.
He made a return at the start of this season but the injury flared up again and this is his first match since his return.
Rangers fans are delighted to see him back in action, with one saying that he could become the “bedrock of our team”.
Another said that getting him back fit would be key to this season and that he sees him as one of the first names on the team sheet.

Great to see Rossiter back on the football pitch, keep building up the fitness and hopefully you will be available for the first team – we are really missing a tough tackling defensive midfielder.

Fantastic to see the guys coming back from injury; fingers crossed for @jordan_rossiter on his come back trail, his time at Rangers has been heart breaking for the lad so far. Will be good to see what Middleton can provide as well.

Great to see Jordan Rossiter back playing for the under 20s in their win over Valencia today. With Jack and McCrorie still unavailable, Rossiter could yet prove very useful this season.

Delighted to see Jordan Rossiter start today in Valencia , 60 mins hopefully then onto the next game for him. Getting him back match fit will be like a new signing and for me he's one of the first names on the team sheet

When you hear Rossiter asked Murty to go and play with the under 20s and has said he is determined to show the people wrong. Attitude is first class 👏🏻👏🏻 I want to tell you about a boy who can do anything…

Well done to the @RangersYA for another brilliant result beating Valencia. Andy Dallas by sounds of it had another good game and brilliant to have Jordan Rossiter back.
Jordan will be a massive player for us IF he can stay fit! ❤️⚪️💙
