Rangers Under-20s cruised to a comfortable 4-0 win over Icelandic side Breidablik on Tuesday afternoon – and Gers fans were blown away by attacker Glenn Middleton’s performance as he helped himself to two goals.
The match was the latest in the club’s Games Programme as the Gers’ Under-20s picked up yet another win but it was 18-year-old Middleton who had fans raving about his display after the game.
Middleton only joined the Gers in January from Norwich City but has quickly impressed with the Light Blues’ Under-20s side and will be hoping his performances can lead to a first-team spot.
Gers fans hope they’ll get a chance to see him in the first-team too – with one fan saying they’ll see him in the first-team “soon.”

The 18-year-old’s signing was a surprise with many shocked to see Norwich let the promising teen leave.
Since arriving at Ibrox, Middleton has yet to be involved with the first-team but is a player manager Graeme Murty is well aware of after working with him at Norwich prior to joining the Gers in 2016.
With only a handful of games left this season, it doesn’t seem likely Middleton will make his first-team debut this campaign although the Scotland Under-19 international could find himself in the first-team before too long.
